The Realm of Tranquility stands out with its use of environmentally friendly building materials, including plaster-like finishes and woven rattan. The combination of different materials, such as solid wood strips, curved boards, and leather carving boards, adds depth and texture to the space. The use of imitation grindstones and terrazzo countertops further enhances the overall aesthetic.

One of the standout features of the design is the use of green energy building materials for the wooden floors. These floors are not only wear-resistant but also have zero formaldehyde, making them safe and eco-friendly. The absence of expansion joints in the walls adds to the seamless and visually pleasing look of the floors.

With a total area of 82.7 square meters, the Realm of Tranquility offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere. As you enter the hallway, you are greeted by expansive French windows that flood the space with natural light. The combination of tiles, gray marble walls, and wooden and bamboo elements creates a harmonious balance between modernity and traditional Zen aesthetics.

The design also pays attention to ventilation and lighting, ensuring that the public areas are airy and well-lit. The use of arc-shaped designs in the ceiling and walls adds a sense of fluidity and creates an illusion of height. Round mirrors strategically placed in the corners further enhance the Zen-inspired ambiance.

Completed in February 2021 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the Realm of Tranquility is a testament to the designer's meticulous research and attention to detail. Overcoming challenges such as uneven beams and expansion joint requirements, Jung Chieh Cheng has created a space that not only exudes tranquility but also promotes environmental sustainability.

The Realm of Tranquility has been recognized for its exceptional design and craftsmanship, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022.
